Podcast – AI for Recruiters: The Three Shifts You Can’t Ignore

Tuesday 21st April 2026

Amplifying Recruitment

In this episode, Jamie Burrows sits down with Tim Bennett, founder of Powerhouse Digital, an AI training and chatbot business that’s been working with recruitment firms including parts of the S|Three ecosystem to raise AI literacy from board level down.

Tim lays out three shifts he sees reshaping recruitment over the next twelve months. The first is the move from transactional recruiter to strategic advisor, AI can now handle the repetitive, process-heavy work, which means the recruiter’s value has to come from somewhere else.

The second is the hiring funnel getting squeezed from both sides candidates automating applications at scale on one end, recruiters drowning in volume without the workflows to manage it on the other.

And the third is the AI literacy gap itself, which Tim sees as the biggest risk of all. Most firms don’t have an AI policy, most teams haven’t been trained beyond surface-level prompting, and the businesses that close that gap first will pull ahead fast.

AI Beach Party – London

Monday 23rd June 2025

London City Beach, Cornwall Road, London, SE1 9PU

It was a pleasure to open the event with my talk on ‘The Right AI Tech Stack’.

I was followed by AI futurist Andrew Grill who gave his super-insightful talk on ‘The State of AI in 2025’ with an amazing Q&A.

Then onto the ‘AI Hackathon’ with my co-host Gordon Glenister where our audience of 150+ embraced the challenge to create ideas and think about AI solutions. Working and collaborating in groups we used old-school post-it notes ready to get those thoughts uploaded into our custom GPT for a fully AI-driven feedback presentation.

Next was my chance to pitch BOB-E AI as part of the ‘AI Demo Jam’ alongside 8 others presenting their AI products and solutions.
