01 / The problem
The problem nobody in your business owns
Your estimator is using AI to speed up quotes. Somebody in technical is using it to draft method statements. Somebody in sales is pasting a customer specification into a free chatbot to get a plain-English summary out of it.
Some of that is good work done faster. Some of it is your intellectual property, and quite possibly your customer’s, sitting on a server you have no agreement with. Drawings, tolerances, bills of materials, supplier pricing and tender documents all carry commercial value, and none of them stop being confidential because somebody was in a hurry.
If a customer asks what your AI policy is, and increasingly they do, somebody has to answer. In most businesses this size, nobody owns that question.
You cannot ban it. You cannot ignore it. And nobody here owns it.
02 / What we believe
Training creates awareness. Implementation creates results.
Most businesses respond with an AI training day. The team leaves interested. Two weeks later nothing has changed, except more people are experimenting with more tools.
We run that training day ourselves and it does a real job, which is why we still sell it. What it does not do on its own is change how the work gets done on a Tuesday.
What changes behaviour is implementation. Rules your team follows and workflows built into the tasks they already do. That is what the Sprint delivers, and the training is included inside it.
Awareness was never the constraint. Behaviour was.
03 / How it works
Three steps, at your pace
Start free. Nothing commits you to the next step until you have seen what the last one found.
01
Manufacturing AI Trust Scorecard
Twenty questions across four categories: people and skills, process and oversight, rules and risk, plus design, data and customer trust. You get a score, you see where the risks and the quick wins sit and you see how you compare.
One week. We map how AI is actually being used across your business, office and shop floor. Which tools, what data leaves the building, where the risks sit and where the fastest productivity wins are. You get a plain-English report and a baseline Trust Score.
Thirty days. Rules, workflows, training and a roadmap, implemented inside your business rather than presented to it. Your £2,500 Review is credited in full, leaving £5,500.
Standard price is £12,000. The pilot price is £8,000, a saving of £4,000. Book a Sprint within 60 days of the Review and the full £2,500 comes off that as well. Most businesses continue afterwards as a retained Implementation Partner, from £2,500 a month, covering governance reviews, usage audits and the annual re-score.
Prices are subject to change.
04 / The 30 days
What actually happens
Week one
Trust & Readiness Review
Every AI tool in use, official and unofficial. Where drawings, specifications and customer data go. Where human authorisation happens and whether it was recorded. Ends with your baseline Trust Score.
Week two
Governance Pack
Acceptable use policy, staff safe-use guide, intellectual property and customer data rules, a red amber green use-case matrix, human authorisation standards and a named owner for AI. Written so it survives a customer asking to see it.
Week three
Production workflows
Three to five workflows built and tested on your highest-volume paperwork: quotations and estimating, RFQ and tender responses, technical documentation, work instructions, non-conformance reports. Plus a prompt library your team keeps.
Week four
Training and roadmap
Your team trained on the workflows they will actually use. Time saved measured against the week one baseline. Leadership debrief, a re-score and a prioritised 90-day plan.
05 / The maths
What the hours are worth
Move the sliders to your business. Count the people who write quotes, specifications, reports and customer correspondence, rather than your total headcount. The realisation rate is there because no workflow ever saves 100% of the time it should.

06 / What you keep
What your business has at the end
Not a slide deck and a certificate. Working implementation inside your business.
Clear control over staff AI use, including the unofficial tools
A written AI policy and safe-use guidance your team follows
Rules on what may never leave the building, in plain English
Three to five working productivity workflows, live and tested
A repeatable prompt library your team keeps
A named human authorisation standard on anything that carries risk
Measured time saved per person, against a real baseline
An answer when a customer asks what your AI policy is
A manual fallback for every workflow, so you are never tool-dependent
A prioritised 90-day roadmap for what comes next
07 / Where we start
We start with paperwork, not production decisions
You may have read about AI in quality inspection, predictive maintenance or design generation. We deliberately do not start there. Anything touching safety-critical documentation, quality sign-off or certification records carries risk that has to be managed properly rather than piloted casually.
The safe, high-value starting point is the paperwork. Quoting, documenting, summarising and responding. Work that eats hours without needing engineering judgement. Get that right first, with a named human authorising anything that matters, and the harder questions get easier.
We protect the judgement your certification depends on.
08 / Companies we train
Who this is built for
UK manufacturing and engineering businesses, usually £2m turnover and up, where the office and the shop floor both have a stake in how AI gets used.
We have delivered AI training and implementation to manufacturing, engineering and technology businesses across the UK, Europe and South East Asia. Recent UK work includes PING Golf Europe, Easilift Loading Systems and GNG Group.
The pattern we see most often is a business that already has one or two people pushing AI internally and a leadership team who cannot sign off rules for something they have not used themselves. The people who can approve it cannot evaluate it, so nothing gets approved and everybody carries on unofficially.
Powerhouse Digital is led by Tim Bennett, an AI specialist who builds and implements AI systems for businesses, including the BOB-E.ai agent platform.
We are not trainers reading from somebody else’s slides. We build the workflows and put them to work inside real businesses, including our own.
“We had people that were using ChatGPT on their own account, which is public.”

09 / Fair questions
The questions we always get
We are not sure we are ready yet.
That is exactly what the Review answers. One week, £2,500, and you get a clear picture of how AI is being used across your business and where the risks and quick wins sit. Go ahead with the Sprint within 60 days and the £2,500 comes off the price. You are not committing to anything you have not seen the evidence for.
We already did an AI training day.
Then you have seen the pattern. Awareness goes up, behaviour stays the same. The Sprint is not a repeat of that day. It puts rules and working workflows inside your team’s actual tasks, then measures the difference against a baseline we take in week one.
Would a workshop do instead?
Sometimes, yes, and we will say so on the call. If your team has never used AI and you want everybody at a shared starting point, a workshop is the right first move and it costs a fraction of a Sprint. The Sprint is for businesses that want the rules written and the workflows built, rather than the knowledge introduced.
Is this legal or compliance advice?
No. We deliver practical AI governance and staff guidance designed to support safer adoption. Your legal adviser should review the final policy wording, and the Governance Pack is built to make that review quick rather than painful.
The technology moves so fast. Is this a bubble?
Some tools will disappear, no question. That is exactly why we do not teach tool worship. We build rules, workflows and judgement, which transfer when the tools change. The businesses saving hours right now are not waiting to find out.
How much of my team’s time does this take?
Week one needs a short survey and a handful of interviews. Week three needs a workshop to choose the workflows and the people who own those tasks for testing. Week four needs one training session and a leadership debrief. We do the building. Your team does the choosing and the checking.
Not ready for a Sprint?
Start with a workshop. Online sessions and in-person workshops at your premises, priced around 25 people and run for larger audiences where that suits you. From £445.
Same programme, different risk. Recruitment agencies handle CVs, salaries and right-to-work documents, which makes AI a data protection question before it is a productivity one. We built a separate version for that market.
Thirty minutes on the phone. Tell us how your team is using AI and what your paperwork looks like, and we will tell you whether a Sprint is worth it or whether something smaller would do.
